As we all know the self love journey can get tough, overwhelming and overall just challenging. You will have good days and you will have bad days but it is beauty in the journey of self love and healing. Affirmations are short statements that bring power and positivity into your mind. The purpose of affirmations is to help over rule your negative thoughts about yourself or any situation that you are going through. It is power in the tongue when you speak and your thoughts. What you say and believe will be your reality. I will discuss, the power in reading/writing positive affirmations and Incorporating affirmations daily
The Power in reading and writing affirmations
When you read and write affirmations, you are setting yourself up to be the best you that you can be. The more you write out your affirmations you are feeding your mind and inner thoughts with positive things about yourself. It can be easy to get stuck into our negative thoughts. When you make it your mission to read and write out your positive affirmations, you are able to gain so much back in return. For example. . .
- Your peace of mind
- More Clarity with your thoughts
- Confidence
- Start to become stronger
- Start realizing your self worth
- Helps your relationships (Romantic, Friends, Family etc.)
Those are the things that you should be striving for everyday. You can start to feel the empowerment and motivation of the affirmations that you read and write. You will start to actually believe the affirmations that you read. They keep your mind focused so you can keep going after your important goals and help with relationships that you have in your life. Affirmations also can help your subconscious thoughts.
Incorporating your affirmations daily
Okay . . . so now that everyone knows the power in reading and writing affirmations, now we can talk about incorporating your affirmations daily. There are so many ways that you can include them in your day to day life. When you first wake up in the morning and before you go to bed are the best times to do your affirmations. This is the perfect way to start your day and end your day. You are feeding your mind with positivity and bringing great energy to your mind.
- Apps
On our phones, we have access to apps that pertain to self love and affirmation that will send you reassuring affirmations throughout your day. So definitely make sure you check your app store for those apps. I really love how they are able to send you affirmations at random times because the right messages that you need at that moment are always on time…. especially when you need to hear it.
- YouTube
For anyone who loves watching YouTube in their free time ( like myself)… this is a great way to play an affirmation YouTube video while you are getting ready to start your day
- Podcast
If you are a podcast lover ( also like myself..), you will enjoy listening to affirmations and positive talk from podcasts. Podcasts give you the freedom to hear great information while being able to get things done. All you have to do is throw on a pair of your favorite headphones and accomplish everything on your to do list. If you want a separate blog post on the different podcasts that I get inspiration from, let me know!
- Self Help Books
This is for my viewers who love a good book to read in their free time. If you enjoy reading… then you should definitely consider investing in an affirmation book or workbook. You can read your affirmations because “ Knowledge is power”. And I feel like you owe it to yourself to feed positivity into your mind to keep you grounded throughout the week. You can easily go on Amazon and type in “ Affirmation Books” or Affirmation workbooks”.
- Journaling
If you enjoy writing and journaling your thoughts, then you should look into buying a journal for your thoughts. Make yourself an “ Affirmation Journal”. This can be filled with all of your affirmation. You can write affirmations that will encourage you on your job, financially, mentally, emotionally, with confidence and so much more. When you start your affirmation journal, you have to make sure that you start off with “I am”, “I will” or “I can”.
For example:
– I am Proud of myself
– Giving up is not an option
– I can do anything I put my mind to
– Love always finds me and I am loved
With the five examples that were listed, I really hope that you were able to resonate with one of my suggestions that I personally use to keep me uplifted and moving forward. Just remember to never stop trying to better your mind and your thoughts! Always remember that you are not alone in your journey and you can make it through anything!
